In October we visited the Great North Air Ambulance at their new base in Eaglescliffe, Stockton-upon-Tees with the Entrepreneurs’ Forum.

We were inspired by this innovative charity who look after us when we really need it, and were so impressed by the cutting edge approach and innovative culture. The charity has a commitment to providing the best possible care for its patients through investing in the latest techniques, equipment and drugs. GNAAS is a vanguard in some domains, such as their investment in the GoodSam app and development of bespoke incident tracking software, leading the way for other areas in the country to follow.

The new base in Prospect House, Eaglescliffe brings together different aspects of the charity under one roof. It also hosts a world-class learning facility for pre-hospital care, providing education for clinicians from around the world.

It was a very exciting visit – especially the chance to look at the helicopters….!.
